Beef and breakfast sausage smash patties layered with two kinds of cheese, a crispy fried egg, and a sweet and spicy burger sauce on a toasted brioche bun.

Ingredients

    Burgers

    • 250g beef mince, divided into 3 loose balls
    • 250g breakfast or pork sausage mince, divided into 3 balls
    • Blackstone Classic Breakfast Seasoning, if available
    • 3 slices American or burger cheese
    • 3 slices pepper Jack cheese
    • 3 large eggs
    • 3 brioche burger buns
    • 2 tbsp mayonnaise, for toasting the buns
    • 1 tsp avocado oil, for the eggs

    Burger Sauce

    • ¼ cup mayonnaise
    • 1 tbsp pancake syrup or pure maple syrup
    • 1 tsp hot sauce, or to taste
    • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce

    Directions

    1. Mix the mayonnaise, syrup, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Set aside.
    2. Preheat your Blackstone griddle to low heat. Keep the beef and sausage loosely formed into separate portions.
    3. Spread mayonnaise over the cut sides of the brioche buns. Place them cut-side down on the griddle and toast for about 1 minute, or until golden. Remove and set aside.
    4. Increase the griddle to medium heat. Add the beef and sausage portions, leaving enough room between each to smash.
    5. Cover each portion with baking paper and firmly smash for about 10 seconds. Season with Blackstone Classic Breakfast Seasoning (if available).
    6. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until the patties develop a browned crust and crispy edges. Scrape underneath each patty and flip.
    7. Top each beef patty with American or burger cheese and each sausage patty with pepper Jack cheese. Cook for another 2 minutes, until the meat is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
    8. Stack one sausage patty over each beef patty and move the stacks to a cooler section of the griddle.
    9. Add the avocado oil to the griddle and crack the eggs onto the cooking surface. Season lightly and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the whites are set and the edges are crispy. Cook longer if you prefer firmer yolks.
    10. Spread the burger sauce over both halves of each toasted bun. Add a beef and sausage stack, top with a fried egg, and close the burger. Serve immediately.
